Jonathan Powell and Mambo Jazz Party celebrate the release of their new record with this special record release party performance. The group draws from Jonathan's 20-year freelance career as a trumpet player in the NYC salsa and latin jazz scene. He was a regular member of Eddie Palmieri's groups for 10 years as well as recording and performing with Arturo O'Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, Miguel Zenon Big Band, Oscar Hernandez and Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Ricky Martin, and Tito Puente Jr. among many others.
Saxophonist Louis Fouché will be joining the group as a special guest from NYC. He is a longstanding member of the Late Night with Stephen Colbert Show Band as well as the Eddie Palmieri and Endea Owens groups.
