The Downtown Acacia Park Summer Concert Series takes place every Thursday night starting June 4th. The event is free, local, and right in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. Bring a blanket, grab some food, and come enjoy the kind of night everyone can enjoy.

Save The 1914 Acacia Park Bandshell
Built in 1914, the bandshell has served as a central site for cultural and community events for over 110 years.
Current condition of the bandshell requires renovation to maintain its historical value and bring back its usability.
Renovation Importance
Renovation efforts will ensure the bandshell continues to serve as a vital venue for community events in the future.

Bandshell History
1871 – Block was platted as Acacia Park by the Colorado Springs Company
1914 – Bandshell was erected designed by local architect Thomas P. Barber.
1917 – A plaque commemorating Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address” was placed on the front wall of the building by the Woman’s Relief Corps of Colorado and Wyoming.
1939, a 12’X40′ extension was built onto the bandshell.
1940 – A concrete dance floor was installed and 2,500 people turned out for the first square dance in July.
